Good morning!
Get this! They noticed a mysterious hole in the sand on a beach in North Dublin (Ireland). Suddenly, the TV media got on its case. They found a local astronomy enthusiast who was convinced that the hole was formed by a meteorite. He listed valid logical reasons and sounded educated. Beachgoers were excited to be a part of a once-in-a-lifetime event.
lads Iām in bits. Virgin Media news is after reporting on a hole on portmarnnock beach that āCould be the aftermath of a cosmic eventā. Some fellas literally dug it the day before with a kidās shovel

Maybe, there is a lesson somewhere here. Maybe itās: beware of too much sophisticated logical reasoning?

Kindness is the most sought-after trait in a partner.
At least that was true pre-pandemic. Most likely, itās still so. A 2019 study of 2,700 college students from five countries (Australia, Norway, UK, Singapore, and Malaysia) found that women and men both preferred kindness as the top quality in a partner. After kindness, men almost universally favored physical attractiveness and women chose good financial prospects.

The pandemic has fundamentally changed dating preferences.
Match.com did a study of 5,000 singles in the US in 2021 and found that the most sought-after trait is a healthy dose of emotional intelligence. A few other key findings, especially compared to pre-pandemic trends:
Out: Superficial is super dated. Far less concerned with physical attractiveness, age, distance, and other surface-level attributes.
In: Conscious dating. Seeking someone with mindfulness to match while learning about themselves.
In: Keeping it honest. Prefer casual dates over stuffy wine & dine, a good communicator, and even a frugalist is in style.
In: Putting the $ in $ingle. Financial stability, a similar level of education, and similar career security are important to both men and women.
In: Commitment. More men (70%) want to find a relationship compared to 60% women. Compared to pre-pandemic times, 22% more men want to get married compared to 14% more women.
In: Voting is Hot. Partnerās political views are important. āNot registered to vote or not planning on votingā can be a dealbreaker.
In case you want researchers to tell you: Tinder is where the action is!
80% of people in the age groups 18-29 use Tinder. It is also used by 90% of college students. It might be best to avoid Match.com. You will not really find people your age there.
